Nice day at Chatfield - under grey skies but no real threat of rain, we had
18 different species among our 26 birds caught for the first time this
year. (We also caught 10 birds that had already been captured sometime
during the past 3 1/2 weeks):

Spotted Sandpiper 1 (Yep, really. This guy must have been skimming along
the shoreline; he got caught in the very end of a net that runs
perpendicular to the river.)
Western Wood-pewee 2 (FOS)
Hammond's Flycatcher 1 (FOS)
Dusky Flycatcher 1
Western Flycatcher 1 (FOS)
Warbling Vireo 3
House Wren 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Swainson's Thrush 2
Yellow Warbler 1 return, banded 5/28/13
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 1 new, 1 return, banded 5/28/13 (same day as the
returning Yellow Warbler, see above)
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Spotted Towhee 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 2
