about 6:20 am today, I saw a sharp-tailed grouse fly across Waterton Canyon Road from the highline canal side (north side) to the area just east of the hogback ( south side). It flew into the chamisa hillside just to the east of the dirt road access to the quarry that is just east of the hogback.
