My dad and I drove some of the back roads north of Wetmore, Custer County, on Friday (19 June), and there were at least three singing Dickcissels in the hay fields there. Not sure if these fields have been cut by now or not. Other highlights in the Wet Mountains, s.w. of Pueblo in Custer County this past weekend, was a Flammulated Owl. Last weekend, both Flammulated and a Northern Pygmy-Owl were around too. All the hummingbirds I've seen up there have been Broad-taileds so far. Non bird highlights have been a Black Bear and Elk. Good birding, Brandon Percival Pueblo West, CO
