Another nice banding day, with a good variety of species. 58 new birds
today:

Black-capped Chickadee 2
House Wren 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2 (FOS)
Hermit Thrush 2
Orange-crowned Warbler 8
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1 (FOS)
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Wilson's Warbler 28
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Chipping Sparrow 5
Lincoln's Sparrow 2
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1
American Goldfinch 1, banded 2012

We are open 6 days per week, weather permitting. Our next closed day
is Mon, 9/14. This Saturday is the Barr Lake Birding Festival, with lots
of family oriented activities and bird hikes and lots of visitors to the
banding station.

We are opening nets at 6:30, and will run until noon or whenever it gets
too hot. School groups arrive about 9:30 a.m. most weekdays. It is wise to
come early to beat the school groups and for more/better birds.
