Please note: This was not today at Barr, but yesterday.

Banding continues to be slow - 22 new birds on Wednesday:

Rock Wren 1
Hermit Thrush 4
Gray Catbird 1
American Redstart 1 (a stunning hatch year male)
Wilson's Warbler 1
Song Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 10
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 2

We are open tomorrow/Friday, but we are doing Science in Action with DMNS -
Broadcasting live into classrooms around the country. Lights! Camera!
Action! And lots of people. A great education program, but not such a good
day to get close up and personal with the birds. For a last chance at that
for this fall, join us over the weekend. Open Saturday and Sunday and then
we are done for the season!
