I am leading a CFO group this weekend to spots in Yuma County and beyond.
Today we managed to hit 92 degrees, but still had some good birding.
Highlights included up to 6 Sprague's Pipits at "Pipit Hill" (eBird hotspot) in
Hale, 3 Osprey at Stalker Pond in Wray, 10 Northern Bobwhite, 3 Burrowing Owls
and a Grasshopper Sparrow on the Road PP route NE of Wray. At a private ranch
near the old Bonny Reservoir we had a LeConte's Sparrow, about a half-dozen
White-throated Sparrows, at least one Field Sparrow and 6 Eastern Bluebirds.
