I spotted a Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk from the MacKenzie Ave end of the Canon City Riverwalk over the week-end. I got two pics which show it's white lorals and cheeks, whitish chest, whitish underside of tail with otherwise blackish feathering that I have uploaded to my Birds and Nature blog <http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/>.
Yesterday I enjoyed at least 10 Yellow-rumped Warblers foraging in a mixed flock on that same MacKenzie Ave part of the Canon City Riverwalk. Since we usually have overwintering Yellow-rumps it is hard to know if these are latish migrants for just birds that will stay around over the winter. There was a Black Phoebe in that same area on Friday but haven't seen it since.
