I mentioned in my earlier post about seeing an additional hawk species and
that was a very late Broad-winged Hawk in far eastern Pueblo County. I
checked ebird and found a few other late Broad-wing sightings including one
on Nov 7 in Illinois, several along the East Coast just last week and a few
in Texas--few compared to the hundreds of thousands that pass hawk watches
along very southern U.S. this fall. I did check today but did not refind it
in the area I saw it in. I have now uploaded 2 pics of this bird onto my
blog @ http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/
