Birders,
I failed to see the Least Bittern near John Martin Reservoir on two
passes this morning. The shallow pond froze with temperatures that
dipped into the teens last night. I will drive by many times in the next
week, and will update if it is seen again.
Many birders saw and photographed this most cooperative bird. I publicly
thank them for following the guidelines of staying in vehicles while
looking and avoiding playback.
