Well over 100 of us participated in the Colorado Springs CBC on Saturday,
December 19. Preliminary results show our total count day species at 95,
with at least two additional count week species.

Notable finds for the Colorado Springs count include Long-tailed Duck (4 on
count day), Barn Owl (3), Hermit Thrush, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Say's
Phoebe, and White-winged Dove. A group of 20 Sandhill Cranes was also seen
flying over the count circle during count week, which is quite late for
this species.

Thank you very much for all that the area leaders did, and to all
participants for making this year another great Colorado Springs CBC.

Birdifully,

Tyler Stuart
Colorado Springs CBC Compiler
