Hi: I agree with Ted, by far the biggest bird event of the year was finally obtaining documentation for the Vaux’s Swift after sitting on the hypothetical list for decades. Congrats to Brandon for bagging this one
Here is a fantasy thought, wouldn’t it be great, by arranging events, that the Vaux’s Swift becomes the 500th state bird?. Then the next bird accepted to the list slips into the distinguished 499th slot? Of course it won’t happen the way we all wish it would, darn.
