This afternoon, Steve Miller and I checked out South Platte Reservoir. We had great views of 2 Trumpeter Swans, 3 Long-tailed Ducks( I'm guessing these are the guys from Chatfield), and good numbers of other waterfowl. We were unable to locate the previously reported White-winged Scoter. With most lakes in the area frozen from the recent cold snap, this is an area that should be checked in the next few days.
