The winds have died to a soft breeze and a *Nor. Saw-whet Owl* is now
calling steadily along Massey Draw near my home, in a willow-cotttonwood
strip down out of the forest. I had one in the same spot last year in late
winter. A recent night visit to the Douglas-fir and Ponderosa forests in
the upper watershed of Massey Draw had several calling.
