This morning, March 5, besides Sandhill Cranes at full tilt, the refuge had
about two dozen separate species of ducks and geese, including Snow Goose – all
being our expected species, nothing rare. Isolated early birds included one
each of snipe (seen on south side of auto tour route), meadowlark, bluebird,
and killdeer. The Crane Festival is next weekend (March 11-13) so come on down.
