There were two Mountain Plovers at Pueblo Chemical Depot (currently no public access) this afternoon foraging among the prairie dogs in the gale force winds. This is three days earlier than last year and may be the earliest arrival date for Colorado. Thanks to Bill Maynard for encouraging me to go out and look.
