Hi all While commuting to work along Larimer CR 64 (aka Nunn Road aka Weld CR 100) at Wellington SWA this morning there were 20 Sandhill Crane <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/sandhill-crane-wellington-swa-wellington-larimer-5/> in cultivated field on south just before frontage road. A few of them were gleefully dancing picking up corn stalk and cow manure and flinging it <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29nznApaLnI> (video) about.
Yesterday, while traversing Weld County I saw a Mute Swan <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/mute-swan-arrowhead-lake-evans-weld> at Arrowhead Lake; Ring-billed Gull frenzy <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/ring-billed-gull-woods-lake-severance-weld-3/> at Woods Lake; Yellow-rumped Warbler <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/yellow-rumped-warbler-beebe-draw-lasalle-weld> along Beebe Draw; our two active Great Horned Nests <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/great-horned-owl-nunn-weld> near my house are doing well; our contingent of Ring-necked Pheasant <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/ring-necked-pheasant-nunn-yard-nunn-weld-1> continue to visit our yard and chow down <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-USK2kD-dTM>; two Snow Goose <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/snow-goose-neff-lake-greeley-weld> at Neff Lake; and a "zillion" loafing Ring-billed Gull <http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo/img-2573> (I took 11 photos of entire flock at link below) at Latham Reservoir Marsh. Horned Lark <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cdwgqh06Y4> was nice enough to stay and sing for me. No plover or burrowing owl anywhere yet.
