Colorado Birders, I hope all of you have signed up for the CFO Convention in Lamar coming up in just a month (May 5-9). Here is another event you might be interested in-the annual meeting of the Nebraska Ornithological Union in Kimball, Nebraska on May 20-22. Kimball is a short drive from the front range-only 2 hours from I-25 and CO 7, and the meeting will feature hummingbird sage, Sherri Williamson. Here is a write-up with more information:
The next NOU meeting is May 20-22 at Kimball. Not only are those southern Panhandle counties prime destinations for all you county listers, but we have a stellar keynote speaker lined up. Sherri Williamson is coming to us all the way from Bisbee, Arizona, where she is a birding guide and director of the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory. Her special area of interest is hummingbirds and she is the author of A Field Guide to Hummingbirds of North America in the Peterson Field Guide Series. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for birding in general and hummingbirds in particular is hard to beat. Her presentation on hummingbirds will be on Saturday evening, and she plans to spend the weekend birding with us. Everyone is welcome to come to the meeting. You do not need to be an NOU member. You don't even need to be a birder. If you're interested in learning about hummingbirds in Nebraska and would like to meet Sherri, check out the registration form and information on the NOU website: http://www.noubirds.org/Pages.aspx?pg=17 Bill Kaempfer Boulder -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
