An adult Brown Pelican has been present today since 9AM at Lake Beckwith, SW
Pueblo County. I left the Lake shortly after 10AM & it was still there near
the SW end of the Lake. Strong WSW winds may be responsible for its
presence--the 1st record for the Greenhorn Valley in the Rye/Colorado City area.

Other birds of interest at the Lake include Osprey, juv. Cooper's Hawk, G.
Yellowlegs, + Cinnamon & B-w Teal splitting time between the Lake & the Canon
National Bank Pond on CSH165, Hollydot Golf Course, about a mile east of Lake
Beckwith
