Mark Peterson found the *Golden-crowned Sparrow* on Sat. morning (4-9-16) that had been reported in Snooks Bottom, which is just across the river from the Fruita Section of the James M. Robb - Colorado State Park. Yesterday evening after the CFO Board meeting held in Fruita, a number of the Board Members, with Mark's help, were able to get good looks of the Golden-crowned Sparrow. The first year Golden-crowned Sparrow was associating with a group of White-crowned Sparrows. It is a little larger than the White-crowned Sparrows with a little different profile. The lemon patch on the forehead is distinctive, but not the first thing you notice.
