Stephany McNew and I decided to go to Chico Basin Ranch, El Paso/Pueblo
Counties, hoping for a few migrants and other birds.  We found a few birds
before the howling North wind came.
El Paso County side (banding station):Hooded Warbler - 1 male
(photographed)Gray Flycatcher - 1 (photographed)Hermit Thrush - 1Yellow-rumped
Warbler - 1Rock Wren - 1Northern Mockingbird - 1Several of the released
not-countable Ring-necked Pheasants
Pueblo County side (HeadQuarters):Long-billed Curlew - 4 flew over pond, which
was excellent, since we didn't see any yesterday in SE Colorado.Chipping
Sparrow - 1Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 2Dark-eyed Junco - 2 (1 Gray-headed at Rose
Pond)Spotted Towhee - 1
Good birding,
