At Last Chance today were:

Southwest corner of intersection water hole
Swamp Sparrow (adult in wet area right under the south side of the US36 bridge)
Lincoln's Sparrow (same location)
Orange-crowned Warbler (willows 50 yards sw of the water hole)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (3 near the US36 bridge)
basically nothing at the water hole, although the bordering veg seems to be 
recovering well from the fire

Northeast corner of intersection by bombed out motel
House Wren (FOY for me)
Spotted Towhee
Lincoln's Sparrow (4)
Hermit Thrush (2)

Miscellany during my drive from Lamar to FC via 287 to Limon, 71 to Pawnee, and 
14 w to FC:
.Wilson's Warbler (FOY) at Eads Cemetery
.several Loggerhead Shrikes had returned to the middle and northern plains and 
appeared to be checking out potential nest bushes/trees
.lots of waterfowl at the persistent playa on 71 between Brush and SR14 at 
Morgan RdJJ (just south of Weld County line) including subadult Bald Eagle, 
Buffleheads and 1 Wilson's Phalarope
.there is a nice playa about a mile se of New Raymer that had an amazing 21 
Western Grebes today
