Nathan Pieplow is the author of the forthcoming Peterson Field Guide to Bird Sounds, and the founder of the website www.Earbirding.com. He is one of the authors of the Colorado Birding Trail, and a former editor of the journal Colorado Birds. In this talk, Nathan will show how the vocal repertoires of birds can reveal deep evolutionary relationships. Many of us have spent time learning how to identify birds to species by listening to them. But did you realize that listening to birds can also reveal their evolutionary history? At the April 25 DFO meeting, Nathan Pieplow will help us understand this concept. Denver Field Ornithologists meetings are held at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 20th & Colorado Blvd in Denver. Park on the north side of the building and enter through North security door between 7-7:30 pm. Meeting starts at 7:30pm. For this month only you will be guided to the Morgridge Center on the first floor. Mary C Burger, DFO Membership 10826 E Maplewood Pl Englewood, Co 80111
