The House Wrens, which have been around since we started banding a little
over a week ago, decided to jump into action today. We banded 15, 5 of
which we caught a 2nd time before the morning was over. Otherwise a calm
morning, banding 22 plus catching 1 that we banded last year:

House Wren 15
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 2 new, 1 banded 2015
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Myrtle 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Spotted Towhee 2

Open daily, weather permitting, through June 2, EXCEPT for May 13, 14, and
30. It is almost always better to visit early in the morning. We are
opening nets at 6:30, and most days will have birds back at the station
by 7:15. There are school groups every weekday, arriving about 9:45. We aim
to close by noon most days, earlier if it is very hot, very cold, or very
windy.
