Hello Fellow Birders,

I was chatting on the phone ~ 7pm last night (Friday, May 6), when I
heard that distinctive "Drink, Drink, Drink your tea-ea-ea-ea" song. I heard
it a couple of times before it registered that I was hearing a towhee in
my little townhouse yard near Holly & Arapahoe in west Centennial. An hour
or so later I also heard it call, then sing some more. Never did see it.

I have occasionally seen a towhee in my yard in the winter months, and
had one here pretty regularly the past winter. I suspect this is that same
bird, apparently it lost its map and doesn't know the way back to the
foothills.

Keep Smilin',
