Yesterday the Arkansas Valley Audubon Society co-sponsored a field trip to the Canon City Riverwalk with Leon Bright and I co-leading with Steve Olson and Ron Torretta from the Forest Service. The Red-headed Woodpecker was refound and viewed by the 7 adults and 2 children participating. Steve Olson spotted a Black-and-White Warbler but it disappeared before others could view it (I was going to look for it this morning but they had a big foot race going that precluded birding and when I looked after the race I did not find it, or for that matter many birds).
Also spotted was a Black-chinned Hummingbird building a nest right over the parking lot. I got a couple of photos of that and have uploaded them to my Birds and Nature blog. <http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/> SeEtta Moss Canon City http://BirdsAndNature.blogspot.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
