Today at Weld CR 59 pond there were 3 Wilson's Phalaropes accompanied by a slightly smaller bird with a red neck extending down onto the breast & a distinct white throat patch and black cap, which we think was a Red-necked Phalarope. As many as 150 of these were reported from this pond several years ago by Bill Schmoker, so one may not be so unusual! There were also 3 Marbled Godwits, Black-necked Stilts, Avocets, Long-billed Dowitchers, and Yellow-headed Blackbirds. Candice Johnson Denver, Colorado
