Migration was in full swing on the eastern plains today, May 14. Here are
highlights.

Lincoln County
Green Heron at Doug Kissel Pond in Limon.
Two Marbled Godwits at Shaeffer Reservoir (there were many other shorebirds,
but wind made it difficult to scope)
Ash-throated Flycatcher at Karval SWA

Cheyenne County
Hammond's Flycatcher
Cordilleran Flycatcher
Swainson's Thrush (30)
Northern Parula
Northern Waterthrush
American Redstart
Lazuli Bunting
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
These birds were all in the town of Kit Carson. Most of them were along the
creek bed just south of U.S. 40 and a bit west of Main Street
