Sorry of the late post, I had to go straight to class after visiting the grasslands. I found Crow Valley to be partly closed but not closed as I heard on the news (they must have misspoke and meant partly closed.) According to some of the birders I spoke to their it was less flooded then last week and less birdy then last week. So I found very few warblers except a few Yellow Warblers, on Yellow Rump (Audubon’s) and one Norther Waterthrush at the flooded group picnic ground. Also present where many thrushes, mostly Swanson’s and Robins, but I also found 1 *Veery* and on *Hermit* which was feeding at the closed flooded road, and swimming on the flooded road was on Blue Wing Teal.
I also toured the auto tour and found two Burrowing Owls just before stop four, about a quarter mile before this stop. Present in strong numbers were Meadow Larks, Lark Buntings, and Horned Larks. I found one female Chestnut Collard Longspur on a fence between stop 6 and 7 and a McCown’s Longspur at stop 10.
