Another slow day.....waiting for the influx of Yellow Warblers! Caught 14
new plus 2 from prior years:

Downy Woodpecker 1
House Wren 1
Gray Catbird 3
Yellow Warbler 1 new, 2 returns (1 from 2015, 1 from 2014)
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 2
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
Common Grackle 1 (female, breeding; male was waiting in a nearby tree)
Bullock Oriole 1
American Goldfinch 1 (female, side-by-side in the net with a male that we
banded earlier this week)

Open daily, weather permitting, through June 2, EXCEPT for May 30. It is
almost always better to visit early in the morning. We are opening nets at
6:30, and most days will have birds back at the station by 7:15. There are
school groups every weekday, arriving about 9:45. We aim to close by noon
most days, earlier if it is very hot, very cold, or very windy.
