I heard the vireo around 11:45, while walking my dog at deKoevend. There was also an Olive-sided Flycatcher, a Western Wood-Pewee, and a Western Kingbird farther northwest on the trail.
While watching the vireo, it went silent while two boys adventured off trail, near the canal. I hung around for fifteen minutes after they left and didn't hear the bird. The vireo has hung around the same 20 or so yards along the canal for several days now, even as the town has mowed the grass between the trail and canal -- and despite the regular activity at the park. So hopefully it hasn't been scared off. If you go looking for the bird this afternoon or evening, it'd be great to know if it is still around. - Jared Del Rosso Centennial, CO On Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:54:55 AM UTC-6, Jack Bushong wrote: > > Hi all, > The vireo was seen about 1/4 of a mile down the Highlight canal trail on > the west side, occasionally singing. > > > Good Birding, > Jack Bushong, > Louisville, CO > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
