The CFO is sponsoring an overnight field trip to NW Colorado on the weekend of July 9/10. This trip, led by Bill Kaempfer, is restricted to CFO members and is limited to a maximum of 12 people and three cars. It is a great way for you to build your county lists in NW Colorado and Southern Wyoming, if that is your fancy.
We will be leaving the Denver metro area early on Saturday morning, July 9th and heading west on I-70 before visiting spots such as Windy Gap Reservoir, Williams Fork Reservoir, Muddy Pass, Catamount Lake and other spots along the Yampa River. On Saturday night we will spend the night in Craig. Sunday we will head north out of Craig to Wyoming and head back east along the WYO-CO boarder. Species expected include regular mountain species as well as possible surprises like Veery, Purple Martin, Greater Sage-Grouse and Flammulated Owl. To register for this trip, please email Bill Kaempfer at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Indicate if you would be willing to drive (we will need two other drivers) and where you will be starting from.
