Birders,

I was out with my son this evening about 7pm (doing a bit of geocaching, which
meant no binoculars). We were in the Village Green Park, across from Cherry
Creek State Park, and I’m pretty sure I saw a lone Common Nighthawk. It had
the shape, flight pattern, etc., but it was flying against a gray sky (and
again, I didn’t have any binocs).

Does that sound about right? Or are there other birds with that sort of shape
that we be hunting in the sky at “dusk”?

Thanks!
