We have heard Yellow-billed Cuckoos calling the past three days (July 14-16) at our farm near Paonia. Times have been from 12:40 to 18:55 and always at the west end of our property along the North Fork of the Gunnison. We have recorded 55 species of birds this month in our yard which ain't bad for this "slow" time of the year!
