An adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird made a brief appearance today 7AM on
Purgatoire Ave., Colorado City, SW Pueblo County. This bird will probably be
hard to relocate, but it was about 1 mile west of I-25 by taking CSH 165 then
turning left on Colorado Blvd. just past True Value Hardware store. Cross
Greenhorn Creek then turn left on Purgatoire. The Hummer was on the north side
of street about 100 yards from jct. with Colorado Blvd. & a short distance east
of small pond. The bird hovered & perched on shrub with many pea-sized ruby red
berries not unlike color of its throat
