Hello, Birders.

The City of Lafayette, Boulder County, continues its program of public bird
walks on the first Sunday of each month. The Aug. outing will be this
coming *Sunday, Aug. 7. Start at 1pm* at the observation deck at Greenlee
Preserve. Park in the lots on the east or south sides of Waneka Lake, then
walk to the preserve; or park on-street near the intersection of Salina and
South Fork, and walk the very short distance to the preserve. The bird walk
will wrap up around 3pm.

This outing, cosponsored by the American Birding Association, is free and
open to the public. All are welcome. Several birding experts will join the
group; if you don't have binoculars or a field guide, there will be loaners
for you. To get a feel for what you might expect to see out there, check

Along with the cool birds and insects, expect to see Pokémon Go players.
