Mark Peterson, Kara Carragher, Lisa Edwards, and I birded in SE
Colorado today (Saturday, 3 September 2016).

The best things we saw were a singing male PINE WARBLER at Fairmount
Cemetery in Lamar, Prowers County (likely the same bird that Dave
Leatherman saw last month) and a YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON (not a
full adult and not a juvenile) at the south side of Neenoshe
Reservoir, Kiowa County. We also saw Great Crested Flycatchers at
Hasty Campground (Bent Co.), Neenoshe Reservoir Locust Grove (Kiowa),
and Melody Tempel Grove (Bent Co.) -- 5 total for the day I believe.
A Baltimore Oriole and a Merlin were also at Hasty Campground, a Green
Heron was at Rocky Ford SWA (Otero Co.), and two American Redstarts
and a "Myrtle" Yellow-rumped Warbler were at Melody Tempel Grove.

Good birding,
