Many of the larger lakes in Colorado are hosting one or more loons right
now. Late this afternoon, two RED-THROATED LOONS were in the southern part
of Cherry Creek Reservoir (Arapahoe Co.). They were generally near each
other when feeding and resting. At one point, they flew and circled the
southern part of the lake. These are juveniles, similar in appearance to
the Red-throated Loons at North Sterling Reservoir and Barr Lake recently.

Two Common Loons were also at Cherry Creek this evening, moving around a
lot.
