A big thanks to Alec for getting the word out to so many people so quickly today! The bird remained until after sundown.
This Snow Bunting looks to be a female (based upon the black based greater coverts). Not sure if this is a first year female or an adult. I'd like to thank all the birders today for maintaining a distance of about 50 feet. The bird seemed unaffected by all the birders and model airplane people present this afternoon and hopefully if future observers also maintain a respectable distance this bird will remain for awhile...maybe the Denver CBC on December 17th? :-) Thanks Alec for getting so many people their State Snow Bunting!!
