I'm thankful for an interesting raptor assemblage around my Ken Caryl
Valley home this afternoon, focused on a celebration of dark brown: a dark
morph juv. Rough-legged Hawk, a gorgeous dark morph Red-tailed Hawk, an
adult Golden Eagle and an adult Bald Eagle. Then there was the high-pitched
assemblage of Golden-crowned Kinglet (2nd or 3rd in my yard in 3 years),
Cedar Waxwing, Brown Creeper and Bushtits. The Harris's Sparrow continues
in my yard, and another Harris's was near the Ken Caryl Equestrian Center.
