A juv. *Northern Goshawk* was soaring and flapping near my home early this
morning, with an adult female *Sharp-shinned Hawk* in nearly the same
airspace just minutes later. I was surprised to have a late *Gray Catbird*
along Massey Draw below my home. It called a lot (I managed an iPhone
recording) and offered glimpses peering back at me from within a thicket.
The last highlight of the morning before I went in to work was a group
of *Evening
Grosbeaks* flying south over my home.
