At Wash Park this morning I saw a couple of Woodpeckers like birds that
kind of threw me for a loop. My first thought was Juvenile Yellow Bellied
Sapsucker due to the hint of red at the front of the head and the spotted
belly. It doesn't, however, have that white line on the wing. I don't
think I've ever seen a immature Downy or even Hairy Woodpecker but I don't
think they have a spotted belly. Any thoughts?
