Dave Leatherman, Birder, Entomologist, Writer, will be speaking to Fort Collins Audubon Society this upcoming Thursday, March 9, 7:00 p.m. at the Fort Collins Senior Center. He will be speaking on “The Benefits of Urban Birds,” to each other, us and countless additional members of the natural world. Birds in their many activities fill niches in food webs, moderate insect populations, alert us to changes in our climate, pollinate flowers, enhance germination and distributions of plant seeds, and much more. Dave will include ways you can help them accomplish their many jobs. This program is free and the public is welcomed.
