reported f Sanderling and Semipalmated Sandpiper.  On May 3 Mike Henwood
and Carol Ortenzio reported Sanderling at Green Heron Pond.
---On May 5 at Telephone Trail Area, Jacob Drucker reported 3 Williamson’s
Sapsuckers and 2 Grace’s Warblers.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
---On May 4, R Christopher Vest  had a RED-FACED WARBLER in his yard for
about 30 minutes in the morning.  He CANNOT allow birders in his yard
because he runs a dog shelter.  But birders are welcome to birder along the
road.  The location is south of Dolores where Rd 30 becomed Rd 29 north of
Toten Reservoir.

OURAY COUNTY:
---On May 6 at Billy Creek Wildlife Area Bridge, Kent Nelson reported Black
Phoebe.

PITKIN COUNTY:
---On May 2 at Ruedi Reservoir inlet, Dick Filby reported Semipalmated
Plover.
---On May 2 at Hallam Lake Nature Preserve in Aspen, Rebecca Weiss reported
Fox Sparrow.

PROWERS COUNTY:
---On May 1 at Lamar Community College, John Reichhardt reported Solitary
Sandpiper and Northern Cardinal.
---On May 5, Jane Stulp discovered f RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD in her farm
yard.  On May 6
many birders were able to see the Ruby-throat.  Jane says that they lost
track of the bird in the
late afternoon so she is not sure if it is still around.  Birders are
welcome to try from 0800 to 1200
on Sunday.  The farm is 5 miles south of Lamar on Hwy 287 on the west side
of the road.  There
is a ¼ mile drive to the house.  She will let us know as early as possible
if the hummer is still around.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--- On May 1, David Tonnessen reported Yellow-throated Warbler at Mineral
Palace Park.  On May 5, Van Truan reported that the m Yellow-throated
Warbler continues.  It has been here since April 21.  On May 6, John
Drummond reported Yellow-throated Warbler at Mineral Palace Park.
---On April 30 on I-25 north of Pueblo, Irene Fortune reported a
disoriented Rusty Blackbird wandering around near gas station pumps.
---On May 1 on Arkansas River trail east of Pueblo Blvd, Brandon Percival
reported singing Carolina Wren.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 7 will be to Denver City Park led by
Patrick O’Driscoll (patodrisk AT gmail.com; 303-885-6955). Meet at parking
strip on north side of Ferril Lake.  From Colorado Blvd. turn left on 22nd
Avenue and dirve west past Denver Museum of Nature  & Science.  Go left
again at sign for Pavillion/Bandstand, just before Denver Zoo parking.
Follow road down to parking area on left beneath trees, near Ferril Lake.
   Late addition to DFO Big Month trip schedule.  Thorough survey of the
park with check-in on the cormorant, egret, and heron nesting colonies.
Great variety likely.  Bring water and snack.  Register online or contact
leader.
