Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for  Tuesday, May 9 will be to Chatfield SP led by David
Suddjian (dsuddjian AT gmail.com; 831-713-8659)  Meet at 0600 at swim Beach
by entering west entrance of park off S Wadsworth, 1.5 miles south of
C-470.  State Parks pass or day pass required.  Dress for a variety of
conditions.  Bring lunch, water, and scopes.  Register online or contact

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, May 13 will be to Walden Ponds Wildlife

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday , May  13 and Sunday, May 14 will be Las
Animas County in Migration led by Chris Rurik (Chrisrurik At gmail.com;
253-225-7104).  This is a two day trip.  Will spend Saturday night in
Trinidad.  Will coordinate carpools from Denver.  Register online or
contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 14 will be to Mt Lindo Cemetery and

The DFO Field Trip  for Sunday, May 14 will be to Parker Regional Park led
by Kerrie Lagon & Patti Galli
(Kerriegonebirding AT outlookcom;  720-891-8771)  Directions:  From Main St
intersection in Parker, go south on Parker Rd (CO 93) for 1.2 miles.  Turn
right on Indianpipe Ln and right into McCabe Meadows parking lot in
Salisbury Park (Parker regional Park).  Meet at 0800. Will bird along the
Cherry Creek trail.  Bring binoculars, snack, water, sunscreen.  Register
online or contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday , May 14 will be Cherry Creek SP Wetlands
Loop led by Karen von Saltz (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com; 303-941-4881).  Meet
at 0800 at the Prairie Loop lot in cherry Creek Sp.  From either park
entrance, follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is located at the
south rim of the reservoir.  State Parks pass or day pass required.
  This is a half day of walking that passes through most of the important
habitats found in the park overs a distance of about 3 miles.  Trails could
be slippery or muddy, so dress accordingly.  Bring water and snacks; lunch
is optional.
