I took a group of 8 from Boulder to Lamar today for the start of a three day
trip in SE Colorado. We had a terrific time over a long day and ended up with
at least 115 species on our collective list. Real highlights were Mountain
Plover at Arriba, Prairie Warbler below the dam at Flagler, a female Painted
Bunting at Kit Carson, Wood Thrush at Tempel Grove (of these only the Painted
Bunting was previously unreported), and 160 Black Terns at Nee Noshee.
