Hey COBirders, It was another productive morning of banding at Clear Spring Ranch, but with mostly larger birds today. Lots of catbirds, chats, and Mountain White-crowned Sparrows. The star today was another Northern Waterthrush, #3 for the season. I know, it sounds like I have them all of the time.
In looking over my notes, I banded 6 NOWA’s from 2012-2015. In the last 13 months I have banded 30. They sure seem to like the Fountain Creek Corridor. For comparison, I assume MacGillivray’s Warbler should be much more common here as a migrant. I’ve banded 31 of them at CSR since 2012. I never expected that I’d see more NOWA’s than MGWA’s! Total of 31 birds today, 338 for the season. more soon, Steve Brown Colo Spgs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
