All, I forgot to mention that I have had the pleasure of observing a male Blue Grosbeak for 3 years running at this point at one of the stores that I'm in charge of and which fellow birder, Derek Hill, manages on the south end of Fort Collins. This means he has shown up for the third year in a row just two days ago. He's been hanging tough through the storm. Both Derek and I got great photos. I observed the female a few years ago but missed her last year. I was never able to confirm breeding but they hung out through the summer. Hopefully, a lady friend shows up soon! if I could figure out how to upload a photo on my phone, I would. Maybe Derek will. He got great shots.
