Trip Announcement:

Join insomniacs Ted Floyd and Andrew Floyd for this zany annual exercise in
sleep deprivation, general mirth, and great birding. We start at sunset on
Friday, June 9; we bird till sunrise on Saturday, June 10. Meeting place in
eastern Boulder County to be determined; itinerary improvised as we go
along. Participants must be willing to carpool, able to postpone sleep
indefinitely, and possessed of unfailing good cheer. The Big Night is free
and open to the public, but the number of spaces is limited; RSVP required.
Before you say "yes," please consider that we will be walking many miles
through mosquito-filled marshes and on steep mountain trails in the dark.
This trip is ideal for people who are adventurous and mildly insane; young
people and curiosity-seekers welcome; artificial lighting prohibited. Bring
your own Kombucha and quinoa; share with leaders.

We will have a full moon all night, and we will be birding at the best
possible time of year for hearing and even seeing owls, nightjars,
bitterns, rails, night-singing passerines, and more. Here's the recap from
last year's Big Night: http://blog.aba.org/2016/06/the-big-night-take-2.html
.

To reserve a spot, please contact me offline (tfloyd "at" aba.org).
