In amongst our usual late spring birds, we had our second WHITE-EYED VIREO!
In the 14 years of this station, we've only had one other, in 2009, a year
of big storms when we caught a whole variety of unlikely species. Here's
the breakdown of the 25 new birds today:

Western Wood-pewee 1
Dusky Flycatcher 1
White-eyed Vireo 1
House Wren 1 new, 1 banded in 2016
Swainson's Thrush 2
Gray Catbird 3
Yellow Warbler 5
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Wilson's Warbler 1
Spotted Towhee 1
Song Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 3
White-crowned Sparrow, Mountain 2

Tomorrow (Thursday) is our last day!
