road.

Flycatcher and juv Scott’s Oriole.
---On August 10 at Grand Junction WA, Mike Henwood reported Solitary
Sandpiper.   On August 12 at Grand Junction WA, Eileen Cunningham reported

was refound by Janeal Thompson, Tammy Gonzales, Jane Stulp, and Duane
Nelson near Oak and 14th.

RIO BLANCO COUNTY:
---On August 8 at Jensen SWA, Steve Patterson reported 2 Solitary
Sandpipers and Brewer’s Sparrow.

WELD COUNTY:
---On August 8 on Poudre River Trail, Kodak SWA, Ryan Graves reported a
pair of Indigo  Bunting.
---On August 13 at Loloff Reservoir, Gene Rutherford reported Solitary
Sandpiper.
---On August 13 at Faber Reservoir, Cheri Phillips reported 30 Black-necked
Stilts and Short-billed Dowitcher.
---On August 13 on CR 124 between CR 75 and CR 77, Tim Towles reported 12
American Pipits in a freshly plowed field.

Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, August 19 will be to First Creek at Denver
Open Space led by Patrick O’Driscoll (patodrisk AT gmail.com;
303-885-6955).  Directions:   From East Denver take 56th Ave east toward
Pena Blvd,  First Creek Parking lot is just before Pena on your left
(North).  Or Take I-70 east to Pena Blvd.  Drive north to 56th Ave Exit.
Turn Left at the light and at the bottom of the off ramp, pass  under the
highway and turn right, almost immediately, into the First Creek parking
lot.
   Meet at 0630.  If the creek is flowing, expect riparian=cottonwood
prairie species.  Will walk 1.5 miles of paved path along the creek
upstream to Tower Road and back.  Will also cover at leat one-half mile of
Buckley Road, a closed pedestrian-bicycle strip along Rocky Mountain
Arsenal NWR’s east boundary fence.  Bring water snacks, sunscreen, hat and
 bug spray.  NOTE:  No restrooms yet at this location.  Clostest facilities
are on Tower Road (Green Valley Ranch King Soopers).  Register online or
contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, August 20 will be to Eastern Boulder County
led by Ira and Tammy Sanders.   This trip is full.
